REMEMBER: Change is Good!

JACKSON PRINTING IS MERGING WITH THE PRINT SHOP

A note from Linda Jackson Foran

Dear friends,

Over the past year, I have needed to spend more time away from the office devoting a great deal more time to my family.  During that time, I have been pondering Jackson Printing’s next move, trying to figure out what piece of equipment we should purchase or what service we should start offering that would keep us on track for positive growth.  Realizing that my reduced participation may make implementing such ideas difficult, nothing really grabbed my attention and piqued my interest, so I began looking at other alternatives.  One idea kind of jumped out at me.  A merger with another printing company.  But who with?  The more I thought about it, the more obvious the choice….The Print Shop.

I’ve always had a great relationship with Brian Harn, the current owner of The Print Shop, as well as the previous owner and founder, Rich Reinhardt.  Rich even acted as a mentor to me after I had bought Jackson Printing from my parents and help guide me through the challenges of business ownership.  I leaned on Rich Reinhardt’s experience and trusted his assistance and guidance.  Over the years Jackson Printing and The Print Shop have traded ideas, shared advice and even loaned each other employees and equipment when one of us got into a bind so that our respective customer’s needs would always be met.  We have always shared the same values when it came to running our companies.  We both offer exceptional, personalized customer service, quality second to none and fair pricing.  Honestly, I would trust no one else with my customers as I know they would care for them as I would.  After months of discussion and careful planning and consideration both Brian and myself have decided that today is the day.  Yep!  That's right, we're merging.  After nearly 45 years in business as Jackson Printing will partner with our friends at The Print Shop effective immediately.  It is just the right thing to do and the right time to do it. We feel that two really good companies can combine into one really great one and offer our clients so much more than we have in the past.

Jackson Printing clients will continue to be helped by familiar faces at The Print Shop as I will continue to assist clients alongside my new Print Shop counterparts while Grant Shaffer will join the design team over at The Print Shop.  Although there may be some changes ahead as we combine the two company’s methods, procedures and techniques for completing orders, many aspects will remain unchanged.  Our quality will remain excellent and may even improve a bit as The Print Shop has larger and newer equipment and more staff members to complete your orders.  In addition, Brian and I have ensured that pricing will remain consistent and may even become more reasonable on some items as our level of efficiency should improve vastly.  And finally, the best part of all, with all of our new equipment, additional staff members and other resources we now have at our disposal....We will be much faster!  In many cases, jobs will be produced in a fraction of the time they were before with sacrificing quality or attention to detail.

Both Brian and I are extremely excited and have invested a great deal of time and resources to ensure the transition will be as effortless as possible.  We know there will be hiccups along the way but are confident you'll be as excited as we are about this news. We know there will be lots of questions so we have listed some below for your reference.  Just click each question and it will be answered for you.  And as always, feel free to call or email us too.  Simply click the "Contact Us" icon to the right and you'll be directed to a page with all of our new email addresses and phone numbers.

We appreciate your loyalty and the relationships we have developed over the years and are excited about those relationships pressing forward into a bright future.  All of us at Jackson Printing thank you so much for your patronage and in many cases, your friendships over the years....here we go....
